It was in 1969, that Mr. Iqbal started the fledgling business of importing Japanese Spare Parts for automobiles in Pakistan under the business name of ANEES AUTOS. The growing presence of Japanese vehicles in the market and dynamic business policy initiatives of early 70s under the Cash-cum-Bonus Scheme further multiplied business expansion.

With the ensuring Oil Crises during the Egypt War, value of the Yen shot up signaling the end of the scheme. In 1975, Mr. Iqbal visited Japan for the first time to further augment the business of importing Japanese Spare Parts. In 1976, Mr. Ashraf, elder brother of mr. Iqbal, established the new company under name of Adil Ashraf Corporation.

In 1977, he visited Japan representing the business as a group company, establishing NAVIWALA AUTOS for Genuine Spare Parts of Nissan Motors in Pakistan. INDUS AUTOMOBILES was established in 1985 as a Private Limited Company in Karachi. Initial operations were based in Karachi and after only a period of two years, the company went national and created buyers club instead of establishing offices. Indus Autos was also the first company in the Auto Parts sector in Pakistan to computerize invoices way back in 1990s. Today INDUS AUTOMOBILES has a good and highly effective nationwide representation and distribution. Primarily, business operations are divided into three distinct SBUs names Imports, Wholesale and Distribution.
